About The Studio

Located within Studio 23A, a shared arts space in Brunswick established in the 90’s and home to 25+ artists. Sailorboi has taken up residence here since July 2016.

After undergoing expansion in late 2018, the studio is now equipped to host intimate classes where students will get the experience of learning wheel forming from inside a working studio

About The Boi

Sailorboi (AKA Lyndon Sendeckyj) has been making pottery since 2009 and teaching since 2015. I always wanted to do something creative and I love working with my hands, after trying just about everything I could try I eventually got into ceramics and have enjoyed every minute of it.

First studying at the Carlton Arts School and then undertaking a Diploma of Ceramics a Holmesglen. I now work and teach from my Brunswick studio

My work is largely functional wear. I’m stocked in stores and galleries around the country such as Guild of Objects (Melb), Pussycat Black (Melb), Quirk&Co (Melb), The Biennale of Australian Art (Ballarat) The Institute of Modern Art (Bris), Green Folk (Gold Coast). I’ve also been involved with Melbourne Ceramics Market since its inception. Sailorboi's artistic practice explores the connections between different subcultures and mental health using repeating shapes and phrases.
